ABSTRACT
Liquid biopsy assays typically evaluate either cell-free DNA (cfDNA) or extracellular vesicle (EV)-derived RNA, potentially missing complementary biology. This study evaluated a multi-analyte plasma workflow integrating targeted comprehensive genomic profiling of cfDNA with EV-associated microRNA profiling. Plasma cfDNA from 25 cancer patients and 5 controls was profiled by NGS; a matched subset of 10 lung cancer cases and 5 controls was profiled on the EVery miRNome Profiler qPCR platform; and matched FFPE lung tissue was tested with Tsunami™ EGFR and KRAS assays for orthogonal validation.
