Dr. Charles Miller - Chief Executive Officer

With more than 15 years of leadership experience in drug discovery, diagnostics, and preclinical services, Miller brings a proven track record of transforming organizations and delivering sustainable growth. His previous roles at The Jackson Laboratory and Elephas Biosciences included leading global commercial operations with revenues exceeding $500 million, brand-building in life science and drug discovery and driving market expansion into more than 70 countries.

Miller holds a BS and PhD in biomedical sciences from The University of Michigan and Michigan State University, respectively, and an MBA from Yale. His management style is characterized by clarity, resilience, and a commitment to building high-performance cultures that deliver measurable impact. Miller succeeds an interim leadership team that guided the company through a critical phase following formation and recent acquisitions. His appointment signals the company’s readiness to accelerate execution on its strategic roadmap, expand into new verticals, and continue building a world-class portfolio of drug discovery tools and services.

Dr. Edwin Haghnazari - Chief Commercial Officer

Edwin Haghnazari, PhD, MBA, is an accomplished life sciences executive with more than 20 years of leadership experience spanning R&D, product development, marketing, scientific support, sales, and business development. Combining deep technical expertise in drug discovery and development with strong business acumen, Haghnazari excels at leading cross-functional teams, building strategic partnerships, and driving commercial growth that advances scientific innovation and improves patient outcomes.

Dr. Haghnazari has held senior commercial roles at global discovery and preclinical CROs — including Eurofins Discovery, The Jackson Laboratory, and Charnwood Discovery — supporting integrated solutions across the preclinical and translational drug discovery continuum. As Chief Commercial Officer, Haghnazari oversees all commercial operations at CellBio Scientific, including sales, marketing, technical and customer support, as well as international distribution. He earned his PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology with an emphasis in Biotechnology from the University of California, Davis, and an Executive MBA with honors from Santa Clara University’s Leavey School of Business.

Michael Drury - Chief Operating Officer

Michael Drury joined CellBio Scientific in 2024, following his role as an Operating Partner at Housatonic Partners focused on leading proactive investment initiatives in the life science industry. Prior to joining Housatonic, Mike held the position of CFO at CalibreScientific, Inc. an international life science company with operations throughout North America and Europe. While at CalibreScientific, he built the finance operation and took a leadership role in the acquisition and integration of 28 companies to form the business. Earlier in his career, Mike served in a variety of leadership roles at General Electric and as the CFO of Source Technologies, a Fintech business based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Mike began his career with the international accounting and advisory firm, KPMG. Mike holds an accounting degree from Cleveland State University and an MBA from Case Western Reserve University. 

Dr. Vidyodhaya (Vidya) Sundaram - Senior Vice President of Business Development & Partnerships

Vidyodhaya (Vidya) Sundaram, PhD, MBA, is an accomplished life sciences executive with more than 15 years of leadership experience spanning strategic partnerships, business development, commercialization, and organizational transformation. Combining deep scientific expertise with strong business acumen, she excels at leading cross-functional teams, building strategic alliances, and driving commercial growth that advances translational research and accelerates customer success.

Dr. Sundaram has held senior commercial and partnership roles focused on life science commercialization and integrated service delivery – supporting solutions across spatial biology, multi-omics, and molecular tools for drug discovery, as well as translational research. As Senior Vice President of Business Development & Partnerships, Dr. Sundaram oversees enterprise growth, strategic alliances, corporate strategy, and service excellence across CellBio Scientific’s integrated platform that includes Acepix Biosciences, BioChain Institute, and Systems Biosciences (SBI). She leads initiatives that expand biopharma collaborations, scale spatial and multi-omics services, and elevate the performance of CellBio’s services organization. Known for building high-performing teams, Dr. Sundaram forges partnerships with leading pharmaceutical companies and premier academic research centers that accelerate innovation.

Mark Hilderbrand - Board of Directors, Chair 

Mark Hilderbrand brings over two decades of private equity and operational experience to his role as Chair of the Board of Directors at CellBio Scientific. As a Managing Director at Housatonic Partners since 2006, Mark has led numerous investments in software and recurring services businesses across a wide range of industries. His background spans early-stage venture capital at Onset Ventures, growth equity and buyouts at Summit Partners, and strategic consulting at Bain & Company. He began his career as a fiber optics engineer at AT&T.

Beyond his chairman role with CellBio, Mark currently serves on the boards of several other companies, including AccuSourceHR, Brainfuse, and QMC International. He holds a B.S. from Boston University, an M.S. from Stanford University, and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. His diverse experience and strategic insight play a key role in guiding CellBio Scientific’s growth and innovation.

Dr. Auro Nair - Board of Directors, Director

Dr. Nair is an accomplished biopharma and life sciences executive with more than 30 years of leadership experience across biotechnology, biomedical research, and healthcare innovation. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of CellBio Scientific, BioIVT, and the Institute for Protein Innovation, and is a Scientific Advisor to Sus Clinicals, Inc. Most recently, Dr. Nair was a Partner at Digitalis Ventures, focusing on investments that integrate biology, technology, and computation to advance human health. Previously, he served as Executive Vice President of The Jackson Laboratory and President of JAX Mice, Clinical & Research Services, where he led a transformative period of growth, scaling revenue and profitability, and expanding internationally through joint ventures and strategic acquisitions.

Earlier in his career, Dr. Nair held senior commercial roles at Caliper Life Sciences and scientific leadership positions at Glaxo in Singapore. He brings to the CellBio Board a proven track record of scaling complex life sciences platforms, building global operations, and aligning scientific innovation with commercial execution. Dr. Nair holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Oklahoma, a B.Sc. in Chemistry from the University of Science, Malaysia, and an Executive MBA from Suffolk University. His cross-disciplinary expertise and global perspective make him a valued advisor on strategy, growth, and translational science.
